either the ammo sucks or the rifle sucks
or both
Rifle is amazing. Ammo is not. I have tried both. Love the Alcor. Not a single jam, feeding issue or ejection issue with various ammo (not STV). I had low expectations getting the Alcor, based on the online forum reputation on Turkish guns.
I think the only issue I had with the Alcor was initial magazine pickiness...or that could have been a different gun...I am old and don't remember things.
I have tried STV Scorpio (.223) in two different guns (both semi autos that are now in the sin bin). Inconsistent primers. Two rounds that had firing pin marks that just went click. Feed issues. Case deformities. Not in all the rounds but enough to notice. I was going to try them in my T3x but decided not to.
Same for STV Scorpio 9mm - inconsistent QC - used on 3 guns.
Meanwhile I have NEVER had a PMC or an AE .223 round do that in my entire life.
I would swap it with Winchester white box .223 easily and I don't use that stuff.
I concede that I may have had a bad batch, but you know what they say about first impressions...
That said, ya never know - you could get a batch of STV Scorpios that are decent and an Alcor that is a lemon...
