1/2" @ 100 yds = 0.5 MOA?

Rookie optics question ...

My scope says it adjusts 1/2" @ 100 yds per click ... is that the equivalent of 0.50 MOA?

Not exactly, but close enough. 1/2" at 100yds is very close to 0.5 MOA.

Roughly, yes. Exactly, no 1 MOA is actually 1.047" at 100 yds, so close enough for all practical purposes at 100 yds. At longer distances though, the gap widens
