Surprisingly enough those rifles are so well built that you do t get beat up very bad even with lots of rounds

As yota runner says, those rifles are beautiful to shoot. I find in practice, 2, 4 round strings and i should have a break or a headache shows up, but shoulder is never sore.

How's rhe recoil on the 500/416 in your double? comparable to a 416 Rigby through a magazine rifle?

I have not shot a 416 rigby in a bolt, but i would expect less. The cartridges are almost identical ballistically, and the double will be heavier then most bolt guns.

My CZ 416 Rigby recoils about the same as my Model 70 in 458 WM.

The Rigby rifle weighs +2.5lbs though.
