1-4 Scopes, What does everyone use? Good, bad, and ugly

Take a look at the Leupold Mark AR line of scopes, more in line with your budget, also Bushnell is worth a look, I have there ERS and it's a excellent scope for the money.

+1 to this ^^
I ordered the 1.5x4 with rings shipped to my door for under $500 from Wolverine. Dialed for 5.56 and looks great on my XCR.

The triangle is one mil in height at 4x and 4 mils at 1x. Its workable for longer range out to 400 but a graduated reticle would make it far more useable. Something like their horseshoe reticle from the acog line would be perfect. Spinning knobs isn't an option.

The manual says the TR24 chevron is 16.7- 4.2 moa 16.7 moa at 1x and 4.2 moa at 4x thats the fatest part of the bottom of the chevron, the tip is less of course. Dont think it was ever meant for bench rest.

My subtensions are reference to the vertical height from tip to centre of the base.

I have three PSTs two 1/4 and a 2.5/10 all are great scopes! only wish the reticle was brighter

I`ve never found a actual diagram for the TR24 reticle thats states the dimensions for height of that chevron anywhere.

I think I went middle ground Bushnell 1x4 PCL on Burris PEPR QD mounts.

As far as low mag optics are concerned with regards to price and quality, your choice is on the low end, an Accupoint is fairly middle ground, and an S&B PM2 shortdot would be high end. Just saying..

Anybody have any thoughts on the Sightron 1-7 scopes? From reading specs, it's got the longest eye relief of any variable power optic with a real 1x setting... 3.9 to 4.8 inches. That's pretty long, and I likes my long eye relief (in fact it's the only reason I'd be really hesitant for the Elcan, I am most comfortable with a long eye relief scope)

and a x7 power is nothin' to sneeze at either

Sorry but my Hilux from wolverine was complete junk, okay glass horribly built..... The o-ring inside the glass was accross the middle of the eye piece. Atleast Wolverine was good about refunding, but quality you gota be kidding took me 3 seconds to see the massive defect, their quality control obviously sucks

Mine was, and still is, perfectly fine, I am extremely happy with it. Robinson armament's quality control sucks, I still love my XCRs.

I'm also interested in these. Nice glass but I don't know anything about their durability.
