1-4 x 24 optics, NF/Trijicon/Aimpoint?

Looking for some feedback on 1-4 x 24 optics with a budget of $1000 - $1500.

Options I'm considering are:

Accupoint TR24G
Vortex Razor HD
Nightforce NXS

Who's used 'em and what did you like or dislike? Any reason to go with one over the next other than reticle type?
 
I have all three you listed. :)

Nightforce is the smallest and most compact. Razor has the best glass IMHO and best turrets with BDC. Trijicon has the best illumination and best bang for buck. Trijicon glass is very good... But not quite as good as nightforce or vortex.

I'm actually selling my tr24g right now, as I only need two 1-4x optics for my collection. If I hadn't just bought the vortex for a smoking deal, I'd be keeping the TR24G. The reticle is better for CQB and quick stuff than the other two, but lack of BDC or fine crosshairs hurts it slightly for precision way out there.
 
If things work out this year I'll be using it for service rifle, so from 100m out to 500m. Does that rule out the TR24G or make you lean more towards one over the others?
 
If you know your "come ups" and leave the elevation cap off the TR24, it will work fine. However, you won't be able to just "aim higher" as the triangle would probably block the target.

I'm looking forward to trying out the razors BDC turrets. It has color coded setups for 55gr and 62gr ammo.
 
Trijicon doesnt seem to be well reguarded as a high end optic, just middle of the road with the accupoint. Some think the glass quality is low to poor based on what I have read.

Nightforce is nice but its also heavy.
 
using the NF 1-4, for the ranges you are looking at the 2.5-8 might be a better choice and if you can swing the extra $$ take a look at the new s&b 1-8, its the perfect optic. Don't know anything about the other 2, but can tell you for my eyes the NF glass is mighty fine, and the illuminated reticle is excellent. for cqb it works as well as an aimpoint comp m4 and the magnification out to 300yards is suffice. my favorite optic.

As for reticle type that comes down to personal preference, everyones eyes see things differently. a reticle that draws your attention without detracting from the sight picture is the one for you, which will be different from next guy. You really have to look through them to know which one you need. no way around that.
