1-4x AR optics...what are you using?

I wish Nightforce made a 1-6 with a daylight bright reticle that was sized between the 1-4, and 2.5-10 around 15-18 ounces. But I'll have to wait for that.

NF has hinted that they are working on a new 1-? scope, sounds like it might be a 1-8 or so as when they were asked about making a 1-6 there reply was something like " everyone is making a 1-6, were doing something bigger"

Have to wait and see I guess.

I really tried to make myself want a sightron 1-7, but I just cant get over the lousy aesthetics of a scope that is almost as long as the barrel of my AR. Might as well mount a spotting scope up top.

I am 100% in the same boat as you. I read about Sightron (all good things) but the factors you listed plus the capped turrets ruined the 1-7 for me considering what kind of shooting I wanted to do with it.

I'm on a budget, so right now it's the Vortex PST 1-4x in a vortex 1pc mount for me...so far so good.
Saving for a Nightforce 2.5-10x

Just got an elcan 1-4 recently. Absolutely love it. Very nice glass, adds a bit of weight but nothing a bit of fitness can't fix

Just picked up a Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25-4x from one awesome CGNer, if I may add. Once I decide on a suitable mount, I will do my best to post back here with a mini range report. Thx to all of you for your great info and feedback...

Holy Fork....am I reading that right? $2,750? whoa.....

I like the idea of the Mark AR though...much more in my budget.
