1.5" recoil pad

Hey Paul, just looked at my Brownells catalogue again..........Pacmayr triple magnum on page 442 is 1.5" thick and there are a bunch of different spacers on page 440........but it sounds like you got it under control. The only thing I don't like about belting and some truck liners is they have threads in them which show when you grind them. I have seen other bed liners that don't though...........

Thanks ...... No belting on this one.

Does Brownells ship to Canada? I looked at some 1.5" pads at NECG but the shipping was $50US.

My last Brownells order, which included a 1/2" hard rubber spacer for $13, had a shipping cost of US$9.30. Fast service and no problem exporting gun parts under $100 total.

Jest furr chits & giggles, well, how bad can a slippy-awn pad over the end be?
I mean, it wood kawn-plah-mint the sea tru rings..........n'est pas?

I thought about that as well. Limbsaver makes a 1/2" slip on but the sizing is a bit off on the end size.

I got a 1/2" spacer and 1" Decelerator coming from Corlanes. Prices were very good and shipping wasn't a gouge.

They special order their Decelerators w/o the metal plate inserts which is a help on odd sized butt sizes. I took one of those. Might call and buy another for a spare.

You could have done a triple Flip-Flop pad for less than three bucks.

Carry on......

On my M70 I am planning pink white and green. Just like the republic of NL flag. :)

You're probably right but I was concerned about the reliability of having three pads glued and stacked on the end of a 35Whelen. One pad is one thing, but three seemed a lot.

Either way, I did give some thought. :)

Mine is a 7MM RM. inch and a half thick on a inch thick stock should do OK. Planning water based contact cement. Will find out in a hurry if it works. :)
