1.5lbs of powder in less than a week.

And here I was all proud that I bought 8lb's. Little did I know a bit of adverse weather and 1000 something rounds later I'm back where I started.

Well, that might work IF they had any in stock, wouldn't it! Otherwise, if you NEED it now the listed places are supposed to have it.

If you want to order a large quantity of something else that should work from Hummason, there is RL17, IMR4350, IMR4451, etc. I haven't a clue what amount of those they might have in stock, didn't ask.

. . . and, for that matter, if you can go and buy an 8lb keg off the shelf without shipping from either of the two I listed, it is only $40 to $45 a lb. If that is a deal breaker while you are waiting well . . .

So how much shooting do you do?
Keep at least a one year supply and grab more when you see a good price.
As to how much I have? Well let the horse men guess never tell anything past name rank and serial number. Tin foil hats are good sun protection.

I said that to help, not to be an ASS. I would not have said that if i didnt just order from them, and did have it in stock. Also cheaper than anywhere else i could order from. That kinda make sense to you? If you reload enough and buy enough gunpowder, $2 per pound savings add up.
 
I did a run of about 5000 .223 rounds a few weekends ago. 24.5g of H335 in each, do the math.

I own enough powder that I have some stashed at a few friends houses. They don't reload but they like to shoot the ammo I make :)

Well, I guess you must have bought the last of it since I just spoke with Brian a few days ago (his reply to me was on Jan 8th) and he said they were out of H4350 but were expecting more in a couple of weeks and yes, when I order, it is multiple kegs at a time. I have dealt with Hummason for quite some time. As of Jan 8th, kegs of Varget was available, H4350 wasn't.

I really dont care of you have dealt with them before. Obviously lots of people have. Like i said, try Hummason because its cheaper. I also buy multiple kegs, like lots of people. And when i ordered, they did have. Again, dont get an attitude if someone wants to help.
 
I currently have 33 pounds of different powders and about 10000 primers on hand but you can never have enough,you will run out of something and then kick your ass for not buying more...
 
I've probably got 45 lbs of assorted powders kicking around. We shoot more pistol caliber cartridges than rifle cartridges. I figure that the wife and I won't run short for at least 2 1/2 to 3 years.
 
Powder is like gas. The more you drive, the more you use. Have enough around to survive the zombie apocalypse and that would be considered enough. I find pistol powders like titegroup very economical but when you hit rifle you use a lot more than you think you will. Minimum an a couple of unopened 8lbers and when you crack one buy 2, cuz if your brewing up some rounds your going to use it fast.
 
I've got about 130 lbs kicking around.
Between working OT and house reno's I'm sure someone will inherit a lot of powder when I kick.

I've got 400+ 220 Swift brass ready to be charged.

Someday maybe.
 
currently have about 90 to 100 lbs. when i see a good price i stock up so rarely have less powder. use a couple of pounds buy five more. stocking up for when i retire. maybe up to 200 or so lbs by then.
