1" AR500 IPSC Targets

I have access to a small quantity of 1” AR500 steel. I am curious if there is any interest in 1” AR500 IPSC silhouette targets? These would be water jet cut, and include hanging eyes at the top corners. The target would weigh about 120lbs.

Is it worth doing? I could make maybe 8 or so.

I think you might get a few people interested but the shipping would be a killer.

Maybe post where you're located (approx. of course) and that might drum up some interest.

1" sounds way too thick to me. If they were 3/8" or 1/2" you would probably have a lot more interest.

1" plate is too thick... Can't you run it through a planer or bandsaw first?

Thanks guys - I thought the 1" might be overkill for most.

I have lots of 1/2", but I just didn't want to let this 1" pass by if there was anyone that would have been interested in it, either for the novalty, or out of necessity.

Under the same topic - would there be any interest in 12"x12" plates (with hanging eyes) in the 1" AR500 - as I also have access to some 12" wide, 1" plate?

I'd be interested in one. The only complaint I have about the 1/2" is that .308 makes it move too much. .223 just makes it swing, but .308 will wrap it around the hanger! Having 1" plate would make it a little more stable for larger calibers.

But as always - shipping will be a killer for most.

I would be interested in 1" thick 6",10",20" squares or circles with little rabbit ears to bolt fasten to chains or nylon webbing.

I get 1/2" AR500 targets cut all the time, 1" is way to thick, shipping will break you unless the material is free.
