1 day to buy and take home handgun

Got a new to me P1 yesterday from Gunner...Paid for it at 1400hrs at 0930hrs next day had paperwork to take it home...I have never had it done so FAST before.....Hope it is always this fast.

I was up in Edmonton this past summer (I live in Calgary). I stopped in at P&D and decided to buy a SiG P226. Paperwork was done while I waited in the store (less than an hour). Brought it home the same day!

I also live in Calgary and was through Red Deer this summer, stopped at Some little place and bought a Ruger 345. Had it in my hand in less than an hour!

Dealers get things though faster for whatever reeason. Even in Ontario where we wait months sometimes.

P&D is good...they have a good system...I was luck and was in and out in about 45min....national speed record!

I bought my last restricted on a Saturday and was able to pick it up on Monday morning. I won't complain if it only takes a day or two, but it would be nice to be able to bring them home the same day all the time.

My last one in B.C. (past few weeks) took only a couple days as 'seller' (private deal).

Funny part was getting the ATT to move it about 50 yards (my place to neighbors)... lol..
