I have a 7x57 m mauser it has a 1 in 12 twist. I can't remember if will stabalize heavy or light bullet weight.

That's a weird twist for a 7mm ... it is best with light bullets...

7mm/.284
- 8" for all bullets-customer discretion 180 gr. VLD
- 9" for bullets heavier than 140gr.
- 11" for bullets up to 140gr.

It is model 98 action with a whitworth barrel 24" long. f
Do you know anything about whitworth? It shoots well with 140gr Nosler and Sierra's as well as 120 gr Nosler bt's.

Weird, indeed, however that is the same twist that Husqvarna used in their 7X57 rifles.

It will stabilize 175 gr round nose at 2400 fps with no problem at all. I have two of them, and both handle this bullet to 300 meters with aplomb.

It will not stabilize 160 gr Accubonds or 150 gr X bullets.

It will stabilize 150 and lighter partitions, and standard cup and core bullets.
