Debating on which one of these 2 44 mag levers to let go. I'm a milsurp guy so not sure of the pros and cons of these 2 rifles

One is Marlin with micro groove barrel the other is a Rossi. Both are in very good-excellent condition. Used but not abused.

For those well versed on these guns, which one would you keep and why?

Keep the Rawseed and vend moi the Marlin..................:p

I'd keep the Marlin for the sheer fact it is what it is.
Plus the abilititty to mount a scope for when the time comes.

Nothing wrong with the Rossi(I have both), but there's no comparison to the Marlin. Especially if the Marlin is without the cross bolt safety(can't tell from here.)

Kids are so demanding. My 15 year old jus laid claim to the Rossi. May have to keep them both.

Once in awhile I point to a Ferrari or a Porsche and say "that could have been you if i didn't have you". (well, not so true anymore, have a Porsche now, but you get my drift).

So it seems the consensus is the Marlin is better but both are good.

Thanks for the help guys.

Kids t'ain't round forever.
The Marlin in time will be worthy of ownership.

When the kid leafs, he'll take the Rawseed.
You will still have the Marlin.

I would keep the Marlin because I think it's better. But if you want money and the Rossi is good enough for you, it makes sense to sell the Marlin.

I like the Marlin for its looks. Nicely finished with blond wood and dark blueing - It's a handsome looking rifle.

So to bring my thread back to life:
The Marlin was made in 1978.
Is the Rossi a Puma or a '92?
What is the going rate for the Rossi if I were to sell?
