Hey guys.
I was wondering if anyone had issue with their M&P, fitting all 10 rounds in the mag while the firearm has one in the chamber? I was wondering it anyone else had the same issue.
My mag can only hold 9 rounds if I want to have one in the chamber making it a 9+1 instead of a 10+1.
This is a problem for me because I plan so shoot IPSC with my M&P and every round might count.

Any solutions to this would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers yall!

My mags will hold 10, but the last round is somewhat tough to load. You could take the magazines apart and take half a link of spring off the bottom, that should give you a tiny bit more space.

do a search on M&P mags, they are notoriously tight and many mods are often required.

Remove the follower, place some sandpaper on a flat surface and drag the bottom of the follower along the paper making sure to keep the geometry the same. Take a little off and reassemble the mag. Repeat until 10 rounds fit easily and you can push them in a little (10.5 rounds I guess). You don't need to clip the springs at all.

Use an uplula magloader. That's why s&w included one in the m&p range kits.

I cannot load 10 rds using the Uplula on my 2011 vintage M&P mags. I can load the last round by hand but it's not easy. It takes an extreme amount of force to load the mag with he slide forward.

I definitely plan on modding my followers but I haven't bee shooting the pistol enough for it to bother me too much.
