10/10 CROSS MAG: Shipping + Retailers Announcement!

100%! Inserts and locks on a closed bolt and mags drop freely.

Wanna bet? J/k, bought one and will report when I get it, but so far every magazines is 9 rounds to operate correctly on a closed bolt in my AR. If yours work reliably I might dump every mag I own on the EE and stock up on yours. At 55$ for 20 rounds, it's a fair price per round.

MFT won't run 10 closed on 2 of mine. RRA metal will sometimes run 10 but the charging handle 'really' needs to be yarded on to move the bolt back. This is after whacking the mag hard to get it to lock in place.

My LGS is getting a load of the Cross mags shortly. I'll be grabbing a few "just because" and hope they run 10 with no issues on a closed bolt.

Let us know how they run for you guys!

If you find that all of your mags won't seat on a closed bolt it is likely that there are some tolerance stack up issues between different features on both the lowers and uppers. Many lowers have out of spec bolt catch and mating plane relationship, likewise many uppers have incorrect bore to mating plane relationship. Then you add a variety of different companies pinning mags all a bit differently from each other and you end up with people having widely varying success.

I'll post up how they run on a closed bolt once I get them.

Mine are (not budget) DD AR's. None of the mags are pinned as they are 10 round pistol mags.

If you don't use the bottom mag, why do you want this product?

Because it mimics the size and shape of a real 30 round magazine.

Because it's the same price (or less) than buying a short magazine, and then adding an extended baseplate.

Because eventually every magazine wears out. At which point I would use the other magazine.

If the Libs prohibit the Lar-15 AR “pistol” then the purpose designed mags for the Lar-15 would be prohibited as well; no more 10 AR round mags.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure AK47 magazines have been legal and available ever since the rifle was prohibited. Uzi magazines too, if I'm not mistaken.

If you use both magazines as intended they'll wear out half as fast :p

A firearm receiving prohibited status does not change the classification of the magazine. Magazines are only prohibited if they exceed the maximum allowable capacity for what they were designed and manufactured for.
