10/22 10" 12" threaded barrel

should'nt affect accuracy badly, just velocity. I've read that a shorter barrel non floated can be more accurate because it doesn't vibrate as much. Not sure how much a .22lr vibrates in the first place mind you.

take this with a grain of salt. I don't know what I'm talking about.

I got my 11.5" from Bits and pieces today. Its a little overspec (which is good), and I haven't figured out how to get the thread protectors off yet, but it will be great once those are accomplished.

where in canada can i get a barrel for 10/22? Im looking for a 14 to 16 inch barrel and im not gonna pay 300 for a custom one from bitsofpieces. Can i bring one across the border?

You can't just bring one across the border. It must be exported from America which requires export licenses and export permits. It's doable but it requires paperwork and time.

The selection available in Canada is limited, but there are retailers with barrels. Green Mountain, butler creek, lilja are out there. Perhaps a dealer with them in stock will chime in.

I've been given to understand the US will not authorize exports of rifle barrels under 16" to non-military or non-LEO period. pistol barrels of any length and rifle barrels over 16" are OK with the proper paperwork and the exporter must be licensed and the manufacturer registered with State dept.
