Hi
Is it legal to buy the 25 round 10/22 mags in the US and bring them home to canada. I know we are not alowed to buy ammo in the US but are parts and mags OK.

thanks

Ive never had any trouble bringing back Rimfire mags from USA.... As long as you stay in the 100$ limit

Ignore what others say on here.

CBSA has no issues with it... just be damn sure that the US boys don't catch you with it on their soil. They don't think us white mexicans should have guns/parts/ammo/mags etc

Canada

Why bother going to the US for a 25 round mag, I just picked up a Butler Creek Steel Lips 25 round mag in clear from LeBaron's for under $35 before taxes. Yes that's NIB. Lebaron's is getting some stock in stating it's coming in from China, I guess China must have purchased all they could before the ban. It's not a knock off either as it is exactly the same as my other one.

Except these new ones don't clip together like the old ones, correct?

I guess I misspoke earlier, I should have elaborated..... Buy a $5 small game license (in Montana, the Dakotas..... to name a few) (good for rabbits and such) and then you are legal to buy anything you want as far a ammo & parts go...... US customs can't touch you as you are allowed to buy such items for the purpose of huinting the "small game"....... and if you buy more than u use....... They have to let you take it home.......

That is the Legal way to import firearms related stuff..... Without an export permit....

Unfortunately that is not legal. The laws of exporting still apply. Either buy it in Canada or get it sent from a US store licensed to export. You can't bring it across yourself without permits.

go to epps , i picked up two smokeones today, they are sweat, i didn't even know they locked together till i got home, im glad i bought two now

Thanks on the 10/22s

Thanks for your input, I will leave it. I am just taking some training in Texas and the butler creek mags are 19.95 US. probably not worth it anyways.
I know they are are not legal in canada and i won't buy them but they have steel AR-15 mags and Glock mags for 20 bucks as well (sadly they are unpinned............)

WTF are you talking about?

Dude....seriously. Pretty well everything you just said is wrong.

I guess I am just blowing smoke out my ass..... I've only been "south" 4 times since christmas....... each time I brought "stuff" back...... EACH TIME I showed my recipts at the border crossing, paid my duty and I went home.

The last time I crossed I had about $900 us worth of gun stuff....... no problems what so ever.

It takes a couple bucks and only a few minutes to pin mags yourself.
