So, I went to the range and carefully zeroed in my scope. Then I came home and too the thing apart for it's first cleaning. Now I'm thinking that was one hell of a rookie mistake. Will I have to zero it all over again next time I go out?
If by "took it apart" you mean that you removed the barreled action from the stock, or even removed the trigger group or bolt (both totally unnecessary for normal cleaning) then you should be okay. If you actually removed the scope...then I hope you enjoyed your first zeroing session 'cuz it's time for another one. Live and learn.
