10/22 accuracy How bad

I have a synthetic stocked stainless 10/22 with a Tasco Varmint 3.5-10x42 scope sitting on factory scope mount and cheap rings. It's virtually stock other than some 'functional' mods like auto bolt release, extended mag release, bolt buffer and VQ hammer. The VQ hammer was the 'lazy' way to lighten the trigger pull. FWIW, nothing on my rifle is 'high end' but it shoots into 1 hole at 25 yards and toonie sized groups at 50 yds with cheap ammo (Dynapoints, AE) and I can't complain about that.....:D

That's funny, both of my stock rifles do about the same....

yep......mine is virtually stock other than 'functional' mods to make the rifle suit my needs/preferences. NO accurizing mods done at all.............what's your point?:p

10-22 tips

the two cheapest mods for more accuracy are facing the bolt to 42 thou and crowning the muzzle.the third is a vq trigger.i have 7 10-22s my hunter shoots 3/4 inch at 50 yds no problem.it has a stock 22 in stainless barrel a modified carbine stock and the above mentioned mods.it is sighted in for velocitors which it loves.dynapoint ammo has allways been very accurate,it has very little deviation when you chrony it

My point? Just pointing out that stock rifles shoot very well. As I mentioned earlier, some mistake poor marksmanship for poor craftsmanship. ;)
