I've been toying around the idea of building up a 10/22. What kind of accuracy are you getting out of your modified 10/22's? What components did you use? I shoot an Anchutz match 54, A Brno model4 and a Vostok Strella 3, will it out perfrom them?

Thanks

You are setting the bar pretty darn high! To ask for a 10/22 to out-shoot your Anschutz, BRNO and Strella is kind of like asking if you can modify your Honda Civic to out-perform a Porsche, Ferrari and Caterham!

If you trow enough money at it, you can probably match some of the performance... Get a Shilen or Volquartsen barrel, a KID match trigger, a pillar bedded stock and plenty of Eley Tenex and Lapua Midas...

If you just want an accurate plinker, a Green Mountain or A&B barrel will do just fine! With quality ammo, from a bench on a good day, mine will do 1/2" @ 50yards.

Hey, a Smart Car has whooped a Ferrari's ass, so why not? Hell its not always the gun ya know, its the shooter.

Yeah, but smart cars look like a squirrel's ######.

It's pretty tough, as everyone's said above. If your priority is accuracy, you go with the bolt. But most people buy a .22 for the cheap shooting fun, and want rate of fire instead of accuracy.

the world record for acuracy in a rim fire was set 2 years ago by a 10/22 in 17 HMR build by a guy called cheif on rimfirecentral

My 10/22 got a Green Mountain barrel(100$) , a Hogue overmolded stock and match hammer.

10rnds at 50m, first round low was used has an aiming point

If you already have those outstanding guns in place, you should never going backward to think about a 10-22. It just a #### toy compare with your Brno model 4.

Mines pretty dam accurate, but it's more of a fun factor with a 10/22. 50 round mags are just a hoot. Building your own 10/22 is and customizing to your needs is half the fun.

A friend has a Clark Custom 10/22. It's just as accurate as any bolt gun. For they money he spent on it he could have bought a nice Anschutz. If you want out of the box, tack driving accuracy and a sweat trigger then by an Anschutz. If you want to have some fun and build your own accurate 10/22 then go for it.

Check out www.rimfiresports.com for Volquartsen parts than you can order with free shipping. These guys are great to deal with.

why do you guys call the 10/22 a 10/22? There is nothing left of the original rifle except the reciever. Get me an out of the box 10/22 vs an Anschutz for example and then maybe :D

Hi Guys
I have a factory 10-22 heavy barrel that will shoot 10 shot groups 1/4" to 3/8" at 50 yards. ALL day long.
