Hate to say that, your 10-22 is a lemon:eek: . Normal 10-22 won't do that good. They are jam-o-matic. You should send it back for warranty work:D

I have a stock 188***** serial number 10/22 which with a cheap 4x scope shoots a 10 round target that can be convered with a dime at 25 yards. I posted the picture before but cannot find it now. I was using Thunderbolt .22 ammo.
So, not all stock 10/22's are MOBD (Minute of Barn Door)

where does this guy get his info from. they jam if you put bad ammo in them. ive got two my friend has three and darkarcher has one and with average ammo you might get one jam per 500. ive shot many days without cleaning and no jams. yours is a lemon:D :D :D

This sums it up nicely. Out of the box they are great plinkers and a good carrying squirrel/grouse gun. From there, it's pretty much anything goes in terms of aftermarket tinkering. What do you want it to be? ultralight or bench, and everything inbetween. :D

I really enjoy mine, looking at making another one. Just for the heck of it.

Hey buddy I was only joking, don't take it too serious:) Yes I got a brand new lemon and had feed her all kind of different ammo and it only take dirty thunder bolt. I got mad and consult many 10-22 owner, polished the action and other parts as the action rough like sand paper with tons of machine mark. But anyhow the happiest day for me with the 10-22 was the day that I traded the gun to a gunshop into a P22, another f#*king lemon:mad:
