any place in Canada I can get a 10/22 aluminum bull barrel?

If not Canada any decent places that ship to Canada? around $200-275

thanks!
(did a search couldn't find anything)

That's because they don't exist. Aluminum does not make good barrel material, it's too soft.

I could see an aluminum shroud, or a large aluminum "barrel" with a steel liner, which you would probably have to get custom made, but not an aluminum barrel.

Yes they exist. They are a steel inner barrel sleeved with aluminum. They are not common in Canada.

Whistlepig is another well regarded manufacturer.

Best of luck finding one, it will be difficult.

I had a 10/22 aluminum bull barrel -- very nice - extremely light ( 10 0z ) and far more accurate compared to the Dlask and stock barrel
it was a blue anodized aluminum STEEL sleeved made by tactical inovations
they exist and are INCREDIBLY rare - I was luck to get a new one for a great price but ended up selling the rifle package here on EE
happy hunting

I guess I will order from the states and just have it sent up.

Getting back into shooting again it blows my business mind that Canada sucks so badly for parts.

I mean we have a higher per capita rate of firearm ownership but there are no Canadian parts stores online and very little by way of used 10/22's and not many decent used rifles. Same thing for a Canadian owned manufacturer of rifles or handguns.

Are we just a bunch of cheapskate hosers that just buy and never sell our guns?

i will just get a remailer in the usa to do it if it comes down to that- but ITAR has zero restrictions on accessories.

barrels need an export licence from the states to be shipped to canada.
rimfire sports used to ship to canada but they stopped, email or message wanstals and get on the list for the next tactical solutions shipment

WhistelPig GunBarrel Co. are the ones that make aluminum barrels with 4140 Chrome Molly Alloy Steel liners of course they are in the usa

KIDD makes a lightweight bull barrel, Fabsports just had one before Christmas but sold it, check to see if/when they will be getting more.

Also try Jo Brook in Canada, they are another Canadian KIDD dealer.

You guys are totally right. I can admit.

I do find it strange that the usa is the largest exporter of arms but yet they seem to handcuff the free market process with ITAR. I can see things like nukes, or complicated proprietary items, planes, warheads etc. but a barrel for a rimfire rifle to Canada, the largest trade partner they have?

Is canada too small a market to have anything made here?

I bought one of the 18" Kidd Lightweight barrels from Fab sports, wait till their next shipment if you want one. Kidd makes the best 10/22 parts.

I forgot about kidd- maybe what I can do is just do a kidd barrel, trigger and get that Troy industries chassis all from fab....

I just think the sr22 is too front heavy.

thanks man.

I have 2 aluminum barrels from Tactical Solutions. (one black - one silver/grey)
They're ultra light weight (15.5 oz.) and machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum & .920" in diameter with a 1 in 16” twist 4140 steel button rifled barrel with 11° crown.
I got mine before they made it impossible to import them into Canada.

jealous. tell me, is the chamber aluminum to get the weight so low? (the kidd's is 30oz w. steel chamber)

Have you noticed any wear if it is an aluminum chamber?

The barrels have a 4140 steel button rifled barrel inside the machined aluminum jacket.

You can see it in the pic below....
