10/22 Ammo and BC Mag Test Results (not a flawless test)

Winchester Wildcat .22 ammo, this stuff varies from lot to lot, if you find any try it out and see how it works, I found a good lot about 3 years ago and stocked up: all the same lot number. I'm in the hunt now for something that will work well and group reasnably in low price brands. The worst I have found recently is the Federal bulk sold at Canadian Tire.

You might just have to work the BC mag in, or maybe that mag just doesn't like that ammo. Also, there might be some junk rounds in that lot- it happens sometimes. BC mags should be pretty good though, and they're lots of fun.

I'm fairly sure it needs to be worked in. They would feed at all.

My BC steel lip jam alot with Eley Pratice. And this ammo works flawlessly in the factory 10rd mag and in my Tac Innov mag. Will try Win T22 next in the BC mags. I really think its a mag issue. Not ammo.
But as for accuracy; Federal Champion are excellent, from what i've tested using a MkII bull barrel pistol.

Okay- so it isn't just me! The Federal 525 round bulk pack was not a great experience for me, either... Most people talk really positively about it.

Earlier today I noticed they had it in at my local Crappy Tire for 19.99 but I think I'll pass. My best so far I think has been the Winchester 333 brick (small brick I guess).

I just bought a brick of 40 grain american eagle. $19.99. We'll see how it is.

I bought mini mags specifically just for the mark3. What have your guys ruger mark1/2/3's liked? Think the bulk A.E. or federal would work in them?
