Hi guys, I've mounted a couple of different scopes using different rings on my Archangel stock setup on my 10.22 and all have given me the same issue.

Not enough elevation.

It's like the back of the rail needs to be just a weeeee bit higher to allow for the scope to get enough elevation.

Anyone else experience a similar issue with this stock? If so, how did you remedy it?

I bought the thing to make my 10.22 as close to my AR 15 for practicing in my backyard for competition, but so far the stock seems to be more of a PITA than it should be.

On another note, what a pain in the ass to get it all apart to clean the rifle! LOL

We use the carry handle mount or riser, like an AR.

Perhaps you could insert a washer to raise up one side? It doesn't have to be much. I have an airgun scope with a one piece base that is adjustable for what you need, its not for a pictany though.
With all your complaints it sounds like you should sell your archangel an get a tapco. That's exactly what I did. Now the scope is mounted on the receiver just like it should be.

I actually have a Tapco as well. Just wanted to use the Archangel because its setup is so similar to my AR.
I was thinking of shiming it as you mentioned, was just wondering if anyone else had the same issue with this stock and how they solved it.

Thanks guys

Change your scope, we have built dozens of archangels with no scope problems. Lay a flat edge against the rail, the front & back should be level.

Shims

Dont put shims in the rings if you can shim the rail.

Its to easy to bend the scope tube.
Shimming the rail is easy. If the rail sits on a plastic stock - the acetate packaging {around almost anything you buy} makes good shim material, and wont dent the plastic like metal shims.
