I have heard alot of people will let the bolt slam against the barrel after removing the v block.it may be nessary to do it repetedly to get the barrel to move forward.

My RB was a pain as well, and I tried all the tricks I've read here with no success. I ended-up buying a nylon tipped, dead-blow hammer (smallest, cheapest I could find) and ground the sides flat so it would fit inside the receiver with the bolt removed. I added a little penetrating oil to where the barrel enters the receiver and after waiting an hour, I put the barrel/receiver on a soft towel with the bottom of the receiver facing up. I positioned the hammer inside and gave the back of the receiver a few small taps and it started to move a tiny bit with each strike. Trial and error, but it worked great. After 3-4 gentle taps, it came off by hand as it should.

2 Pointers though;

1.Not allot of room to work inside that thing, cut your mallet short too if you have no room to move it.

2.gentle strikes! Hard to do any damage with that little room to move, but worth mentioning.

Once I got mine out, I got some 400 grit wet/dry and smoothed-off the receiver end of the barrel by hand. (gripped the end with paper in hand, twisted the barrel) Added a very thin coat of oil and installed it again. Nice and tight, still easy to remove if necessary.

BTW, in my case, the barrel was just rotated about 1-1/2 degrees counter-clockwise. (when aiming, looking down the barrel) The V-Block allows very little rotation of course, but just enough to correct this.

Good luck, let us know how you make out.

With everything out of the receiver I tapped on the flat surface below the v-block while holding the barrel. I used a towel to protect it but as long as you don't bend it you will be alright. (that area is hidden inside the stock if it gets scratched). Now for getting the new one back on I suggest putting the barrel in the freezer and the receiver in the sun. Then use a small amount of gun oil and wipe off the excess once in. I know some barrels will slip right in but my KID ss barrel was very tight and hard to get in even like this. (no barrel drop though lol). Hope this helps.
