10/22 Barrel weight

My wife's 10/22 needs some serious accuracy improvement. However she is very picky about the weight of her guns. She likes the weight of her standard Ruger just fine and doesn't want it to get much heavier.

So what are my barrel options? I know there are a few carbon fibre barrels out there but the price is much too high (I'd rather buy her a quality rifle instead). I wonder if the 16.5" Green Mountain barrels would add much weight. You'd think they would list the weight on their website.

Perhaps there is someone out there who make the factory barrels more accurate.

get a Tacsol or Whistlepig barrel both are very lite

Butler Creek makes a really high end tuned barrel that is light. But it is very expensive. 400 bucks if I remember right, they don't make them anymore but P&D had two of them.

Really light, deep flutes and very very accurate.
