10/22 barrels to avoid??

I'm gonna have a stainless 22" muzzle weighted GM target barrel for sale soon with half a pack of cci subsonics through it if anyone is interested.

Powerstroke's got first dibs though :)

factory barrel

$1000 worth of [no gunsmithh fees] mods on a 10/22 with a factory barrel? Those are some pretty crazy mods...why leave the factory barrel on if you are spending that kind of cash?

Was gonna put an exotic barrel on it - but then found out I didnt have to !

VQ..their quality has slipped to an unbelievable level
They are now the "Ramline" of 10/22 parts

I'm disappointed to hear that. I've had one of their heavy barrels and a short THM carbon fiber- one for at least 15 years and the other about 10 and they're both extremely accurate with most ammo.

the GM barrels seem to have good reviews. Are there Canadian dealers or US ones who export?

I purchased a Butler Creek .910" blued barrel over 10 years ago when they first came out. I shot many metallic shilhouette matches with it. The only problem is this barrel does not shoot high velocity rounds accuratley. Saying that its a tack driver with subsonic rounds or standard velocity like Winchester Dynapoint 40gr.

no one will export to canada anymore. there is a major shortage of green mountain barrels in the states.... the are filling a u.s. military contract for other barrels right now. check the rimfirecentral site for all the info.

i just got a 22" muzzle weighted stainless target GM barrel.. will test it out this week and let you know.

Quality looks amazing tho. reasonably priced barrels too.
