BassPro just called me back on my rain check for 10/22 . So I picked it up, but didnt pay too much attention to it. As I am going to use for the action only. But what I got in the box seems too so nice to be the basic 10/22. My question is is my basic or is it a deluxe model that I got? There is no band, wood has actual pattern to it, rather nicely done compared to others I have seen before.:dancingbanana:

Hmmm. No barrel band, no swivel studs, no checkering, folding rear sight. Might be a Compact model without the Fire Sights, but the pictures don't really show that it would be.

What model number does the sticker on the end of the box indicate?

it's not the Deluxe. as Vimy Ridge pointed out, the Deluxe has the checkering. i have a Deluxe and love it. better fit and finish than the basic. i would agree you got a Compact.

I have the Deluxe (Ruger 10/22 DSP). It is about 3 years old, but it came with loops for the sling attached to the stock. Your stock is clean.

It's the basic, but still pretty nice looking.

What's the barrel length? Compacts have ~16" barrels, that looks the same to I'd say.

Fold rear sight instead of the fiber optic is odd.

rr model

You've got the discontinued "RR" model with the 20 inch barrel. These were the models that were $179 at Bass Pro 2 summers ago. They've been flogging them for a while it looks like. Great buy however, shoot it lots and sell it for more than you paid for it.
