10/22 bolt hold-open

It's clumsy and since it offers little usefulness, I'm omitting it. The extra machining required to utilize it isn't justified.

I'll second the above. A pointless waste of time that saves all of a quarter second when releasing the bolt. The real question is, why are you guys shooting at a range and not outdoors? Second question, why is it such a race to charge the rifle again?

Well, I use the bolt stop for convenience when proving clear at the range, not for any tactical advantage in faster reloading . I shoot at the range (which is outdoors) because it is 35 minutes away and crown land is 1.5+ hours away.

You mean like, the machining req'd to modify it is too much work? I like the auto-release but retaining the hold open feature is useful too, certainly wouldn't pitch the whole plate over 3 minutes with a small round file....?
