Hi
i am looking to build/buy a 10/22 'tacticool" looking plinker for 25 to 100 yards Silhouette targets.
Is it possible to do it within $500 everything included other than ammo?
I would like to have 2 of the 25 rds mag included.
I have my own red dot and mount so i just need a rail on the gun.
Thanks

Depends how you want it to shoot really.
If it's just for looks you buy a 10/22 and put a tapco stock on it, then pick up a couple of magazines. Then it looks tacticool for under $500, but will still shoot the same.

One question i can think of is:
Wanting to use the standard barrel or a bull barrel?

The answer may limit your stock choices.

I saw a barrel that green mountain advertised a while back that had only the fore part bull, the rest of it would fit in the factory stock with 'minor sanding'

I don't know why that space keeps showing up in that link get rid of it and it will work.

at 100 yards, wouldnt the dot from the red dot be MASSIVE?

I see, with the tapco stock, wt is the minimum length of barrel i can use to keep it non restricted?
Cause it sounds like a nice idea.
