10/22 Bull barrel kits??

I have a 10/22 target 22. Its the one that looks like the Ranch target. I have been thinking it would be fun to loose that stock and turn the rifle into a heavy barreled tactical type of rifle. I know I am nuts to fool with great shooter, but its almost boring shooting at the 50 yard range we have. So I thought it would be fun to create something.

Camj what did you have in mind for a stock? The Nordic kit is the same shell Ruger uses for the SR-22 but with slightly different engraving. It will accept AR stocks, grips and forends. There are a few from promag to dress it up as an AR or HK G36. ATI makes a couple stocks and then there's Hogue overmolded stocks. Any particular style you're after?
 
Well I thought it would be fun to turn it into a heavy barreled SR. The rifle as it sits is very accurate. So if I could get the same accuracy, and in a cool stock like the SR/AR that would be top notch. Thanks for reply too.
 
Pretty sure the Nordic kit will fit the HB, but you'll need a FF hand guard, buttstock, and pistol grip. May come out to be around the same price as an SR22, but going the Nordic route, you can customize right from the start.

The Archangel Nomad / Marauder will fit the HB too. Lots of good builds here, search under Nomad, Marauder, and G36 to give you some idea.
