Has anyone done the bull pup stock conversion here or the S-54/mp5??? I am looking to do something a little more different than the tacital tapco route. I like the archangel kit but the price is a bit more than I am comfortable spending without seeing and handling one.

Gimme some feedback boys!!!!!! Pics, opinions, other options etc are being sought after here.

as far as I know, converting a rifle to a bull-pup configuration would be illegal.
Has to come from the factory as a bull-pup to be legal.

Cheers,
P

From what I recall, the bullpup stock is only illegal if the rifle can be fired without the bullpup stock at a reduced length or is an add-on to an otherwise, already functioning firearm. I believe that was the problem/issue with the Walther G22. On the other hand, if you look at the Tavor, FN FS2000 and FN PS90, they are all have bullpup stocks, but they are one with the firearm (cannot be removed and fired).

Considering the "Muzzellite" questions comes up often enough...;)

Tried that road, neat piece of kit, had to take the sledge hammer to it, the firearms act states that ANY bullpup conversion is illegal, even if your barrel length is good as well as the OAL, the only legal bullpups are factory made that incorperate the stock to the function of the rifle, like the tavor, the mini and the 10/22 do not require the stock as an esential part to fire, whereas the tavor uses the stock as the reciver. even if you took a hunting rifle with a 26 barrel, and made a bullpup out of it, so you were way over the overall length, and made it completely not-scary looking, still a big no-no.

The bullpup STOCK fot the 10/22 is a prohibited device. Owning the STOCK alone is a criminal offence. Therefor, you cannot legaly have a bullpup 10/22.

100% sure.

No takebacks.

Period.

Liberals suck.

The end.

Ok then, no bullpup stock. Any other unique options that I can look at?? I like the look of the S-54 but does anyone here have one?? How does it shoot?? The 10/22 is already limited at 100 yards for accuracy stock condition so I don't want something that will take that down another notch.
Yes I KNOW you can get aftermarket barrels that improve it but for me its just a .22 and I would rather spend the rest of my money on my other guns. I like how it shoots as is so I just want something aesthetic that will not hurt the acccuracy it posesses.
And the search function works so poorly here, I did try to search this and other forums before posting.

.

Funny.. cause Im betting you will put more ammo through and shoot that gun more then any of your other guns...

I guess I think the opposite... Make the guns I shoot a lot better..

Each to their own...

It is accurate enough for gophers so why dump more money into it, if its not broke why upgrade?? I would rather get sks or M14 or Glock a couple upgrades then a gun that is just fine. I would bed the sks, heavy barrel and a usgi bolt and oprod for the m14, and new trigicon sights (mine are depleted) and barrel since it has 4-5000 rounds through it, maybe more.
Long term the 10/22 would get somethings later but I am looking for a stock set right now, kill tons of gophers, and then if called for a few things over the winter.
Tearing it down and waiting for a load of parts right now is like parking your convertible for the summer and taking her out in late October when its all ready to go. Just my line of thinking.

check the rimfire forum, there is a couple kits out there that can make an interesting 10/22, the krinker kits, i belive i seen an ar-15 kit, the arch-angel, a tommy gun kit, etc.. these are simple and common rifles, so there is a lot of aftermarket kit for them. or you could build/modify an existing kit to make it unique, and functional to your personal preference. mine has a simple butler creek wire folder and a bushnell trophy red dot, does everthing i want it to do. and was cheep to set up. and it doent hurt my feelings to use it, scratch it, etc...

Quality comments! :D

BTW, the P-90 bullpup mod (a-la Airsoft) seems to incorporate the stock into the action, or....does it?...

Hey , I can't know everything - that's why I turn to you guys! :)
I did this to a Remington 597 and then posted pic's on here. Then, thanx to a great man on here NavyShooter that filled me in that I was a meat head and that I just made my rifle ilegal. I promtley distroyed it then sold the rifle off. But this bullpup mod (a-la Airsoft) requires little skill and works beautifully. Just wish that when I went for my licence that some one would have told us about this STUPID rule.
