I'm trying to do a build, mainly out of odds & ends that I have kicking around, but I want to buy a new charging handle, rod and springs. I was going to buy from Dlask, but their site shows them being out of stock. I really like the looks of the Kidd, but can't find anybody carrying them. Any suggestions where I might look for something, doesn't have to be Kidd. Any help is appreciated.

I talked to Dlask about bringing in the Kidd handles and they didn't really want to. I ended up finding a small gun shop that was willing to place an order through the Kidd website and ship it to the states and then import it up for me. I'm not entirely sure what the cost will be or the timeline but you might have your best luck trying that. Where in Saskatchewan are you?

I'm just north of Saskatoon about 30 miles. Did you guys notice a difference when you went to aftermarket guide rod and spring? Would anybody recommend one over the other?

I have a couple kidd charging handles and also a volquartsen one. I would say don't worry bout it being a different brand than kids when it comes to the charging handles. It's the rod spring guide that is smoother. Dlask had those kidd guide rods with a dlask Charging handle. See if they still have them. Their all nicer than the factory ones. It's the kidd trigger assembly and bolt assembly that are nicer than the volquartsens I've tried. Nicer as in lighter trigger pull.

I ordered this from TandemKross. 25 bucks USD and it looks sweet. Only down side is that it takes a while to get due to ITAR paperwork on their end.

The handle is just nice to have, but the KIDD comes with 3 different springs (sub-sonic, normal velocity, high-velocity) and i've never failed to shoot any type of ammo in my 10/22 because of it.

I have had many of most charging handles in current production... my favourite is the Superior Concepts handle... I have purchased them from Galatti International.

My machinist buddy has CNCd a small run of these for other CGNers for use with gloves and with scopes with larger turret knobs on their 1022s, everyone likes them both versions cycle sub sonic as well.

Sells them for 37.00 CDN (shipping included) shipped fast from Calgary. We got tired of ITAR delays, and shipping delays.

Does the weight mess up the bolt timing?

I would probably have tried Dlask, or Kidd would have been my first choice, but their website shows them being out of stock. I might order the power custom from Brownell's, don't mind the look of it.
