10/22 compact vs carbine stock differences?

Hey, I have a standard carbine, with a barrel band. If I get a wood stock from a compact, will it fit? Will it be shorter length of pull? I don't care about the barrel band part, just weather it fits perfectly and that the length of pull is the same.

and anything else I might not know would be great too

Lop will be shorter, bbl taper may differ. Compact has a shorter barrel.

The receiver will fit, the barrel channel may be slightly different. I took the standard carbine stock and cut it off just before the barrel band to make my own compact stock. Crappy phone pic in my messy garage, but you get the idea.

Why would it be restricted. Looks to be more than 26.5 so it will be non restricted.

Compact LOP is about an 1" shorter, the 16.5" compact and 18.5" standard barrel have the same taper , stocks are interchangeable.
