usually the barrel goes before the stock does.
ill wait here until you swap out the barrel.
What are the advantages/disadvantages when using a short barrel. The barrel is next and so far only item decided is that it will be a bull barrelGot a 12.5" Dlask Barrel on mine. Couldn't be more happy.

What is the advantage to upgrading the hammer? Never heard of that mod.

Advantage
- Looks cooler
- Less nose heavy (The 0.920" bull barrel at 16+ inches get's REALLY heavy)
- Bragging rights to our neighbours down south
Disadvantage
- Depending on ammunition, reduced muzzle velocity. But not by much. See link --> http://ballisticsbytheinch.com/22.html
- Not much options. Dlask is the only one I know who sells it.
The minimum barrel length for a stock LOP 10/22 non-restricted (26" OAL) is an 8" barrel. (Also sold by Dlask).
My first post! I’m sure I’m posting in the wrong place (sorry about that, I need help!). Just bought a ruger 10/22 with Dlask 18” fluted stainless steel barrel and Boyd Varmint stock. I paid $500 used (is that a good price?). I called Dlask arms co, but they didn’t really seem to want to talk to me, so couldn’t ask them my questions, so I signed up to get some help here I hope with a couple questions.
First, are Dlask target Barrels really any good, are they accurate? Second, can I shoot any type of cci ammo through it? I’ve read different things about that?
When the time comes, I will keep that in mindKidd Ultralight barrel!
Excellent accuracy, bull barrel profile, and very lightweight. Why not have a match quality bull barrel that weighs less than a pencil barrel? Even if you don’t care about weight, the lighter barrel will be much easier to shoot offhand.

My Dlask 12.5" with a sporter chamber is better than I expected. Easy sub 1" groups at 50M (stock everything else) even with Winchester M22's (mid grade ammo).
When you say "Target Barrel", do you mean "Target Chamber"? It should say on the side of the barrel. From what I understand, the Target Chamber is slightly tighter than the Sporter Chamber. If that's the case you can only run target/match grade ammo reliability, bulk/lower grade ammo can be fired but will fail to feed from time to time.
