10/22 "Distributor Exclusive" in canada??

Hello All,

I am in the market for a 10/22, like everyone else I have heard nothing but great things about them... Anyways,
Anyone who has been on the Ruger webpage knows they have a Distributor exclusive section with 10/22's in many different configurations.
I was wondering if it is possible to get anything like that in Canada. I have yet to see anything aside from the TD, SS and standard birch stock at any local gunshops.
I really like the jacaranda, black and black/blue laminate stocks...
Does anyone know if/where you can find something like this?

E-mail Wolverine see dealer icons at top of page or Elwood Epps .. They have listed them for sale in the past .. Keep in mind that ruger supply lines are very tight at this time , you may have to wait for it ..

Maybe some one will post they saw one last week and make it easy .. Blue is not everyone's cup of tea ..... but may also be easy to see standing in the stacks of black and brown ...
 
It would likely be easier and faster to build the rifle you want over trying to order one pre assembled. Most who own a 1022 ditch a lot of the factory bits for something else. Ruger needs to offer actions and barreled actions. Their stocks suck and many change the barrel as well.

The first 10-22 I bought I modified, and modified, and changed parts, next thing you know I just reassembled ALL of the stock parts and ended up with two! Lol
 
I think it's totally hit-and-miss. I just found a compact pink laminate version at a local gun shop, for example (that stock is now on the EE!), and a local big box store has a stack of the digicam versions. No rhyme or reason, just sometimes they appear.

TDC is probably right in that it's easier to build what you want. There are a few nice aftermarket laminate stock options for you.
 
I always build my own 10/22. Yes an aftermarket receiver is more expensive but its more fun to build from scratch.
 
Check Prairie Gun Traders link at the top of the page. He usually has some, good to deal with and ships as well.
 
Great thanks everyone, I haven't quite decided on what to do. I'm having trouble making up my mind.... but i will likely just get a bare bones SS model and customize it as time goes by! Again thanks for the comments folks!
