10/22 front sights - newb question

Hi guys, I got my first 10/22 yesterday and the front sight is moved over to the left and my shots at 25 yards are consistently 3 inches or so to the right, although grouped very nicely. I'm wondering what the best way to center it would be. Should I be using a hammer a punch with light taps or is there a better way?

Brass drift if you have one. wood works too, anything that is softer than the metal you are working on essentially.

Put a scope on it and it won't matter!!!
