So I just got my tech sight in the mail and everything looks good. But I cannot for the life of me remove the front sight. I took a punch and a hammer and all I ended up doing was hitting my self and dent the crap out of the front (only cosmetic) Any tips ??? I am thinking about using the hack saw and sawing the front sight loss

Brace the barrel firmly so it can't move. Keep the brass punch LOW on the front site. Drive from the LEFT SIDE to LOOSEN (opposite side of ejection port)
Give your punch good FIRM hits.
It'll come out....:D

This was copied from another post in reguards to the 10/22 front sight.

Drive from the RIGHT to TIGHTen (ejection port side), and drive from the LEFT to LOOSEN - aka, righty-tighty/lefty-loosey

It took me 5 min with a punch. I was hitting not at the center but one edge then another edge.Hitting center did not move them at all. Barrel stayed perfect, sight only marked by punch. Put some wood under the barrel and cloth or carpet to protect the barrel
