10/22 HB takedown (21133) vs takedown lite (15281)

Does anyone have any experience with these two rifles? I want to know if the heat shield feels cheap on the lite model? Would you get dirt in it and it be a pain to clean? Would the HB model be too heavy to walk around in the bush with? Is it too heavy to hold off-hand while shooting?

I got the target lite. Same barrel without the holes. Barrel rings like a tuning fork.

The HB is only 5.3lb the Lite is 4.5. Honestly not much difference.

I've only owned target lite barrels on the regular receivers, they did not shoot any better then a factory 18.5" barrel.

I prefer carbon fiber 9", 12.5" or 16" on the takedown. Don't see a reason for longer barrels on TD unless your only using the iron sights .

Not sure how fresh those photos are, but there's a plastic circle in the barrel channel of your handguard you should file down. only takes 30 seconds, its pressing against your barrel making all your handguards have a downward slant.

I swapped out my factory barrel for a dlask 9". Best barrel for these things imo and with the magpul stock its a wonderfully sweet little package. If youre worried about velocity loss with the short barrel, mini mags are doing 1230fps and stingers are at 1380. BC hunting regs require 12.5" for hunting which may be a consideration for you.

The TD in the Grey Stock has been sold . Ballistic Advantage 10" and 12" , both sold

Good to know thx. Just ordered the 12.5, so still debating to maybe get the extra 9 or 16 barrels as well.
