It would be the best coyote dogging gun imho. Understand they gave up on the .22 mag version as the action wasn't quite strong enough, but I may be wrong. I think a light, short handy hornet would be awesome. Accurate enough for the hornets limited range with an emphasis on being handy would be great. Would it be possible/feasable for Ruger you think?

10/ hornet

Possibilities are of course Zero. Hornet is quite a bit snappier than 22 mag. Bout the only way is to take an AR and rebarrel, but you have to mess with the bolt face as well.

While to techinically a real 10/22, take a look at the volquartsen evolution.

I just looked a littl more on the volquartsen site, the evolution is only made in .223 and .204. I'm sure a decent smith could build one in .22 hornet, though :) I'd rather a 17 hornet myself.

Due to the rimfires being built on a blowback action, the Hornet wouldn't work without having a bolt with the density of lead. If you take a look at an M1 Carbine, which in my opinion the 10-22 was built to look like, this platform may be a more suitable candidate.

They should do it! Especially now that they have brought out the take-down model, they could even offer interchangeable barrels/calibers.

I'm in for a .22Hornet/.458WinMag/10gauge combo pack.

Bullpup preferred...:D

If there is a real good smith out there that can make a 30 M1 Carbine into something hot & ###y, I have an old one and a new in box one. Also have a new, legal length (non restricted), short chambered barrel for one of them. I can't afford exotic pricing, though! Please let me know what can be done.
