Hey guys, I don't frequent the rimfire forums too much but I have a question for you 10/22 aficianados. I have been offered a Ruger 10/22 International (full mannlicher style stock) for trade on a shotgun that I have priced at $400. The 10/22 is in very good shape, one 10 round factory mag, has a weaver style base and rings, and an inexpensive rimfire scope, and a leather sling. Is the Ruger worth the $400 to make it a fair trade? Thanks!

i'm not sure on the price of a new one, but they do seem to be unique,i would probably make the trade personally.

worst case, you would probably have an easy time selling the 10/22 if need be.

If it's really in great shape, sure. I think anywhere under 400 for a real good example would be in the ballpark. I have missed out on a couple around here that have sold fast, and they were priced between 350-400 based on condition. Compare your real honest bottom dollar price for your shotty, and then see if it stacks up.

Ultimately, is it something you want? Then don't sweat twenty to forty bucks.

You might also want to consider that you'll not find a new 10/22 with anywhere near the metal of the international...;)...but still roughly the same price tag...:(
