Just wondering if there is upgrade available to convert Ruger 10/22 LR to .22 WMR?
I search the forum but did not find anything, sorry if I missed something

As far as I know it cannot be done, I believe the action is not long enough for .22wmr. You could change barrels to go to .17 hm2, or convert it to .22 short, but thats about all I know that you could do to a 10/22.

Nope. Action's too short and the mag well is too short. If you can find a 10/22 RBM, your cost of ammo will be much higher.
A .22 short won't cycle the action.

^that kinda stuff is arbitrary...

Kinda like the 7.62 tokarev, 7.63 mauser, and 7.65 Borchardt are virtually identical

And since it head-spaces on the rim, there's dozens of semis (typically tube fed) that can run .22short, .22long and .22long rifle interchangably.

The Remingtion Speedmaster is a good example.

There have been 10/22 conversions to magnum. I doubt that it is really practical though, or worth the effort and expense.

a difference between

there is a difference between the barrel diameters, a 22 is a .223 and the 22 mag is a .224. This could increase the pressure in a 22 action. The other thing I read somewhere is that ruger started to make the mag because of certain metals weigh more and this increases the weights of the bolt( I think that is what they call it) so it does not cycle as hard( as if using the 22 bolt).
