10/22 Mannlicher

Thanks! I'm not in a rush, and have noted at least one other Mannlicher on ####### so I figure I'm in with a fighting chance if another comes up.

May have to do exactly what you did if I get impatient though.

Mullera,
- How handy are you are sanding and finishing a stock?
- In how much of a rush are you to have it?

If you're OK with some sanding and finishing, and this is a not a short term project... Give a shout to Richards Microfit Stocks.
- Yes, call them. They usually pickup the phone and will (usually) return left messages... sending an email (unless they recently got new staff) will most likely get lost in the never-never-land.
They (or at least used to) offer some of their stock in mannlicher length. The few stocks I got from them, I felt I received nicer wood than expected.
- Did I say the order can take some time to show up? I've been told that instock items will ship rather quickly... special request... 6-9 months seems to be the norm.

If you search RimfireCentral, there's a guy who installed a 10/22 in their Monte Carlo sporter stock. Made the bull barrel match the length of the stock. I thought it looked pretty good.

I can't seem to find it (quickly) here's what a regular length barrel would look in a regular length rifle stock. A 12" barrel would be close to a flush fit. Or you can ask them if they can lengthen the stock...

Hi there. I'm reasonably handy, and I have time, so taking on a project is not an issue for me. I also had no idea that Richards existed. I've looked into it a bit, and I'll be doing exactly as you said, and exploring what the Mannlicher options might be. I always figured there MUST be someone doing this kind of work. I hadn't been able to stumble onto this on my own though. Very much appreciated.

Always love the look of them but never found one when k was actually shopping. I will same my LVT 10/22 is a decent little shooter out to 100meters. Averages around 1.5” 5 shot groupings on a low wind day with good ammo. Was also good enuff to manage rifleman in Mapleseed.

If you can fine a Mannlicher 10/22 I’d say get it. Try it out if you’re not happy you can swap your carbines guts over and try again. And if atill not happy I’m sure you can find a buyer.
