10/22 out of the box differences

I'm looking to buy my very first 10/22, just wondering if there is a benefit to buying one model over another if I'm planning to buy modifications for it anyways?
and if so, which model would be best for accuracy at the range as that will be my main use for it.

If the main thing you are going to do is swap the stock and never swap the barrel, check out a Rock Island Armory M22 barreled action. If you're mainly going for accuracy, you might want to do a custom build.

I like the older models, better then the newer models. Just built better, full metal trigger guard over plastic ETC..
