10/22 owners: does your 10/22 dryfire after the last round?

If dryfiring the 10/22 bothers you, as with most rifle, can pull the bolt back half-way and let the hammer ride it home.
Sometimes I will dry fire the 10/22 and it's fine, but I don't sit infront of the TV and dry-fire the hell out of it.

Way way way back... dry firing rimfires was a bad idea because the firing pin would peen the breech face.
As mentioned earlier, the 10/22 has a firing pin stop to prevent this.

I can never remember if I fired 7, 8,9, 10 shots but when I hear click I know either the damn thing stovepiped again or I'm outta ammo.

Are you trying to put 11 rounds in the mag?

I just happened to buy the one bad 10/22 out there. Pile of crap from new. Rare for it to fire 2 shots in a row

Come on Sksavenger just sell it to me cheap and i`ll fix it. Maybe sell it on EE for a small profit. It`s just taking up space and you could go put a down payment on an Axis.
