10/22 photos - post 'em up here!

Sold all my tactical 10/22 project.. to simplify things..
I kept one with bull barrel and hogue stock , and one takedown with custom made hogue stock

Updated my Ruger recently. Added a Power Customs extended charging handle, Power Customs extended mag release, Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x44 with BDC reticle, and redid the stock. Previous owner messed it up big time with a crap paint job and ruined the stock synthetic black finish, so I spent some time sanding and refinishing it. Think it turned out pretty nice if I might say so myself for a 25 plus year old gun.

Thanks for looking!

Yeah, Gen 2, 2 piece. It's on the right way, it only goes on one way ;) I just ground off the two prongs that prevent it from rotating on a standard AR upper. It also has a barrel mounted rail and riser so I can have iron sights on at a height that will work with the SR-22 receiver. Long time building it, just changed to a threaded barrel so I could have flash hider and complete the AR-15 look.

Is that a Midwest Industries Gen 2 Hand Guard? Is it on backwards???

Looks great BTW

The old girl got new boobs. '89 10/22 action with trigger job, radiused bolt, TI charging handle, Power Customs extractor and PWS T3 lever. Take-off SR-22 bbl, A2 FH, Troy T-22 chassis with MOE grip, Fortis QD mount and BFG VCAS. I have six BC steel lips mags fitted so well it runs flawless with pressure on the mag in any direction. The action is tuned to perfection. Best .22 I've ever owned, its gonna be a good year :)

She is a beauty!!! From one Ruger nut to another... well done! Where did you secure the Troy Chassis from?

Big thanks to Accurate Action for installing a front sight bead, thanks Mystic Precision for the Heavy Barrel, and thanks to Hical for one of the hard-to-find Thompson kits!

Basically one Ruger for the price of two, but it goes nice with the 1911 and the Enfield. I used a 'Chicago' Tommy drop-in kit for the receiver, and replaced the Al Capone front grip with a homemade one like the GI issued variant. Stain came out a little reddish, but I'm going to try redoing the handguard again at some point. Really primitive 'stick mag' extension that's just a block of wood, but I'm going to try and make a cleaner cut when I've got some time on my hands.

Finally got a chance to post some pics of my 10/22. Here are some specs:
Ruger 10/22 action
Kidd scalloped bolt
Kidd charging handle
Kidd trigger kit - pulls a little under 2 Lbs
Hogue rubber overmold stock - desert tan
Tactical Solutions barrel
bolt buffer
Vortex Crossfire ii 4-12x44 AO
Sitting on JSA Tactical shooting bags which are made in Canada and awsome!

Here are some 5 shot groups at 50 yards the rifle is capable of with CCI Mini Mag hollow points

I Know it's not the rifle's fault, but i'm having a heck of a time completing the 5 x 5 shot groups under 1/2 inch at 50 yard challenge. there is always one group that throws me off! Someday.

Some more pics of the rifle:

This color is king!!!! Grouping looks great to me

Yep that's the Dlask 8.5 with their compensator attached. It started out as a Ruger with just their barrel and slowly all the parts have been changed over to Dlask. The trigger is a Timmney. It was super light till I put the Nightforce on it. My little Bushnell red dot just wasn't cutting it.

What type of barrel do you have on yours?

How do you go about fitting bc mags to a 10/22? I have one that doesn't function properly...

It is a Volquartsen carbon fiber barrel. Shoot crazy accurate with even crappy bulk ammo. With the spare parts that I have, I am totally gonna build a shorty 10/22 like yours. Haha, your scope is a drop in a bucket in weight compared to mine. My rifle is heavy as hell but then again I like it that way. Really stable and I can make shots well past 150 yards provided there is no wind, no problem :) .
