10/22 photos - post 'em up here!

Well I think you will really appreciate the nice long barrel on this one :)....

I just put a newly modified and bed-linered stock on my "Pocket Rifle" SBR project:

Nice job on the stock.

A couple people asked me about accuracy of my Ruger 10/22 with a heavy barrel. By no means am I a marksman... but here's what I managed today with a strong wind down range.

The 1st target was shot at about 25 yards. The 2nd target was about 50 yards. On the first target, absolutely, the two outliers are my fault. Ten rounds in each target.

I shot with the bi pod of the gun on the table... a rest would have been better I suppose.
Anyways, I'm pleased with the results. Absolutely, there are more accurate .22 rifles. I used Federal bulk ammo.

Again, make no mistake, there are far more accurate .22's at longer distances than this 10/22 set up. I like it because it is stable and easy to shoot. The Kidd match trigger is a thing of beauty.

Ruger 10/22 .22 caliber rifle
Hogue Rubber Overmoulded Stock
Green Mountain 18" Stainless, Fluted .920 Bull Barrel
Kidd Bolt Handle
Kidd 10/22 Match Trigger
Hawke Varmint 6-24 x 44 Scope
Little bit that's left on it, not mentioned, is Ruger.

Well I built almost this exact thing a few years back. Stupid me, I sold it to fund something else.... Well I had to build it again. Only better.

Shoots pretty damn good, better than I can anyways.

I don't think I ever got around to posting a pick of my most recent DAR-22 build:
This was assembled from 100% lightly used parts raided from various used rifles I acquired on the EE:

Dlask receiver, Green Mountain barrel, all other internal parts are Kidd.
