I just went to put my new BX trigger in my 10/22 and found the pin that
sits in the receiver and the back of the bolt is broke in two. ??
Is this normal? Where can I get another one?

Dlask arms has the kidd ones for 10.99 they are a good upgrade. Just be warned if you go to Dlasks website I'm sure you will spend way more than 10.99 with all the other 10/22 goodies they have.

Western Gun Parts - but they always courier, and that gets expensive. If you have a friend in Edmonton who could mail one to you it would drop the price to postage and a beer next time you saw your friend.

Measure the diameter (use a caliper or borrow someone's caliper, get it to within .001) - get a piece of rod the same diameter - cut it to length, polish the ends, dip it in "cold blue" solution. It doesn't need to be hardened material, but you may be able to find a drill with a shank of the right diameter - cut it off (with a dremel or grinding wheel - but you'll need to go slowly to avoid heat) and polish the end...
You could also get a nylon or other type of plastic buffer - to silence the rattling of the bolt hitting the buffer on recoil.

Just measured a factory bolt stop pin. Diameter 0.248, length 1.252. All in inches.

i think the interesting question is how the heck did you break it!

also, mentioned above was the Kidd 2 part bolt buffer, ive switched most of my 10/22's over to them, super nice piece of kit, well worth the upgrade.
i always found those rubber ones hard to get in, the Kidd one being 2 pieces is great.

Always been a debate if 10/22 was designed to handle steady diet of high velocity 22lr... their user manual skirts an answer ... the stingers and other +P 22lr push the bolt back to crash into the OEM metal buffer/stop with a bit more pressure .. no give .. metal fatigue .. crack and break

Just one theory ....
