Yes the aftermarket buffers are great. Not really needed but makes a difference in noise.
Same with the auto bolt mod, not really needed but makes shooting the 10/22 more enjoyable. With I had done the mod when I first got the 10/22.

Agreed. Not a huge fan of the bolt lock/release tab. Not the easiest to operate, particularly when releasing. Not as bad to lock at least. So the auto-release mod is fantastic. Again another free/easy upgrade. Took me about 10-15 minutes from start to finish with a rotary tool as I did a test fit or two so as to not remove too much material.
