There are alot of places around that carry them, Dlask, Sylvester Sporting Goods, Wanstalls will have poly buffers available. I got my original tuffer buffers off of e-bay.

I'm curious how that can be done (I already own the Tuffer Buffer, but I like to Tinker).
Is there some part from Home Depot I can MacGyver together to fit in the receiver?

I like the Kidd buffer. It has a steel pin inserted in the neoprene outer housing, this makes for very easy removal & installation.

I believe that VQ also used this design.

Hardware stores usually carry 1/4"x 3" nylon bolts or better yet use Delrin rod (ebay) and cut to 1 1/4".

ive tried many different buffer bolts but a couple years ago i decided to swap all my 10/22's over the Kidd one.
so much easier to get in and out for cleaning and works like a champ.
pay a couple bucks more and get one, buy quality and you only buy once they say.

I believe you can purchase this at metal supermarket and they sell by the inch. The 1/4” tubing with roll pin is pretty good too, maybe better for impact because it’s softer
