Do you guys know if there have been any significant changes made to the Ruger 10/22 receiver or trigger group assembly over the years? IIRC some of the parts were change to plastic at some point but otherwise were there any changes to the shape of the receiver or anything?

thanks

'08 was when they changed to poly trigger groups which was actually an upgrade. They are more consistent dimensionally and apparently stronger. Still the same old rifle from '64 with a few mostly cosmetic changes.

That is exactly what I wanted to hear :D Thanks guys. If anyone else has anything to add my ears are still open.

I have both metal and plastic trigger housing 1022's and I don't see much difference .
If you plan on doing a trigger job on your 1022 , the Tony Kidd drop in trigger kit
is only recommended for the plastic housing models . They say that the older metal
housings are not as consistent in pin placement as the newer plastic housings and
don't always work well with the kit . So there are some differences .
